Yoga and Mindfulness Sessions Launch at National Trust Sites in Worcestershire
Yoga and Mindfulness at National Trust Worcestershire

Yoga and mindfulness sessions are coming to National Trust attractions in Worcestershire, marking the launch of the sanctuary season. Visitors looking to unwind and reconnect with nature are invited to join a series of yoga and mindfulness sessions across National Trust properties in Worcestershire. This year, the programme will see the launch of the new Sanctuary theme at Croome, which is celebrating rest, calm, and spaces of refuge, giving visitors the chance to explore wellbeing through both landscape and gentle movement.

Yoga at Croome

At Croome, visitors can join in yoga in the Long Gallery inside the house. It is an elegant, light-filled space featuring decorative plasterwork, carved fireplaces, and views over the parkland, offering an inspiring and atmospheric setting for gentle movement. Yoga in the Long Gallery will run until June 1, combining mindful practice with the serenity of Croome Court's historic interiors.

Yoga at Hanbury Hall

At Hanbury Hall, yoga sessions will once again take place beneath the blossom trees in Kytes Orchard, led by local instructor Emma Blunston. Running until May 25, these 60-minute classes offer gentle yoga, meditation, and mindfulness while participants enjoy birdsong, orchard wildlife, and the seasonal scent of spring blossom. During the summer months, sessions will be held in the historic Orangery, running throughout June, July, and August.

Comments from Management

Michelle Fullard, General Manager for Worcestershire, said: "As part of our exploration of the theme of Sanctuary this year and next, we're offering weekly yoga sessions at Croome to help visitors pause and reconnect mind, body and spirit. Sanctuary invites people to slow down and experience Croome not just as a historic landscape, but as a place to reset and replenish — these sessions provide a different and holistic way to do just that."

Participants at both properties must bring their own yoga mat, water, and wear comfortable clothing suitable for the environment.
