Yungblud cancels gigs after health scare

British rock sensation Yungblud has made the difficult decision to cancel all his remaining live performances for 2025 following concerning results from recent medical tests.

Health Concerns Force Tour Cancellation

The 28-year-old artist, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, revealed that routine blood and voice tests conducted after returning from tour have raised significant health concerns. In a heartfelt statement to fans, Yungblud explained that his doctor has ordered him to take a complete break from touring until the end of the year.

"This week when I got home off the road, and went to have some tests done (like I usually do) and my voice and blood tests have raised some concerns," the musician shared. "I have been ordered by my doctor to take a break from touring until the end of the year."

Affected Shows and Fan Apology

The cancellation affects numerous scheduled performances across North and Latin America throughout November, including shows in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, and Mexico City. All ticket holders for these US dates will receive automatic refunds.

Yungblud expressed his deep regret about the situation, stating: "I'm so sorry to do this. But reluctantly I have to cancel the shows through the end of the year. My heart is broken." He emphasized that while he typically pushes himself to the limit for his music and fans, "this time I've been told I have to take it seriously."

Future Plans and Recent Controversy

Despite the current health setback, the artist's highly anticipated Idols World Tour UK dates in April 2026 remain unaffected and are expected to proceed as planned. The tour supports his latest album "Idols," which earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album and a Best Rock Song nomination for his single "Zombie."

The announcement comes shortly after Yungblud faced criticism from some rock purists regarding his tribute performance to the late Ozzy Osbourne at the MTV Video Music Awards. He defended his participation on Ozzy's son Jack Osbourne's podcast, calling the backlash from artists like The Darkness "bitter and jealous."

Yungblud concluded his health statement with a promise to fans: "I don't want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever. I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you."
