Birmingham City Council has announced the operational schedule for its popular mobile tip truck service for the upcoming week, providing residents with convenient options for disposing of unwanted household items.

Weekly Timetable and Locations

The council's Mobile Household Waste Centre trucks will be visiting various locations across Birmingham from Monday 26th January to Sunday 1st February 2026. The service offers flexible drop-off times to accommodate different schedules.

Detailed Schedule

  1. Monday 26th January (7:30am–12:30pm): Arden Road Shops Car Park, Frankley Great Park B45 0JA
  2. Tuesday 27th January (7:30am–12:30pm): Collingbourne Avenue Car Park, Bromford & Hodge Hill B36 8PE
  3. Wednesday 28th January (7:30am–12:30pm): Woodgate Valley Car Park, Bartley Green B32 3DS
  4. Thursday 29th January (7:30am–12:30pm): Pype Hayes Park Car Park B24 0HG
  5. Saturday 31st January (8am–12pm): Masjid E Noor Car Park, Aston B6 5HP
  6. Sunday 1st February (8am–12pm): Hamstead Pavilion, Handsworth B20 1BX

Additionally, the service will be supporting street cleaning teams citywide on Sunday 25th January and Friday 30th January, demonstrating the council's comprehensive approach to waste management.

What You Can Dispose Of

The mobile waste collection service accepts a wide range of household items, making it easier for residents to clear out unwanted furniture and appliances. Acceptable items include:

  • Beds and mattresses
  • Sofas and upholstered furniture
  • Small kitchen appliances
  • General household waste

Important Restrictions

While the service is comprehensive, there are some important limitations that residents should be aware of. The council cannot accept:

  • Bricks and rubble
  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • Large kitchen appliances

Council Support and Community Partnerships

Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, Councillor Majid Mahmood, expressed his appreciation for the community support behind the service. "If you have any extra waste or unwanted household items, please do pop along. Our friendly crews are always on hand to offer support and advice," he stated.

The councillor extended special thanks to faith and non-faith organisations that generously host the Mobile Household Waste Centre in their communities. He also acknowledged the dedicated City Council officers operating the service and waste disposal partners Veolia, who manage the Household Recycling Centres.

"We're also incredibly grateful to the residents who use the service and support their families, friends, and neighbours," Councillor Mahmood added, highlighting the community spirit that makes the service successful.
