A boy was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle near a primary school in Netherton. The incident occurred on Highbridge Road, close to Netherton CE Primary School, at approximately 8:50 am on Friday, April 24.
Emergency services responded to the scene, including one ambulance and a paramedic officer from West Midlands Ambulance Service. Upon arrival, paramedics treated the young pedestrian for injuries that are not believed to be serious.
The boy was subsequently transported to Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley for further medical evaluation. A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed the details of the incident and the response.
Local residents have expressed concern about road safety near the school, urging drivers to exercise caution during peak hours when children are traveling to and from school.
