Former world champion boxer Frankie Gavin has issued a stark health warning from his hospital bed, revealing he is being treated for diabetes.

The Birmingham fighter, famously dubbed the 'Wayne Rooney of the ring', spent three consecutive nights in hospital while doctors addressed his condition. Taking to social media platform X on Sunday, November 23, the 40-year-old from Small Heath shared his situation with his 50,000 followers.
"Third night in hospital last night - this diabetes is no joke!" Gavin posted, adding with determination: "Need to deal with it properly now!"
