Jack Osbourne is confronting the possibility of leaving I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! without the traditional family welcome, as his mother Sharon and sister Kelly are not expected to travel to Australia following the death of his father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne.
Family's Heartbreaking Decision
The 40-year-old reality star faces the first public elimination vote this week after being defeated in a live drinking challenge on the ITV programme. Other celebrities at risk include Alex Scott, Angry Ginge, Aitch, Martin Kemp, Ruby Wax, and Kelly Brook.
Sources close to the family have revealed that should Jack be voted out, neither his mother Sharon Osbourne nor his sister Kelly Osbourne will be present at the end of the famous bridge to greet him. This decision comes following the tragic death of his father, Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July at age 76.
Sharon's Emotional Struggle
According to insiders speaking to the Daily Mail, Sharon Osbourne isn't prepared to depart the UK as she feels it would "let Ozzy down." The source explained: "It's a toss-up between staying in the UK and being in the US where her children and grandchildren are. Sharon has opted for the former."
"The whole thing is devastating, but Kelly has been there for her," the insider continued. "She flew back to see her and get her mum back 'out there.' That's all she wants now - to keep Sharon going."
The source added that Sharon is "so determined not to 'let Ozzy down'" that she won't fly to Australia to support her son in person. "At the moment there is no family member due to meet Jack," they confirmed.
Support From Afar and Family Outing
Despite not travelling to Australia, the former X Factor panellist is reportedly "supporting Jack all she can" from a distance. "It is just so heartbreaking for her - she adores her children," the source added.
In a positive development, Sharon was spotted with Kelly in London this week, marking her first public outing since her husband's death. Photographs from the evening showed the entertainment mogul chatting with attendees and managing a brave smile for cameras, while her daughter clasped her hand supportively.
While the mother-daughter duo aren't expected to jet to Australia, they have been keeping up with the programme from home. Kelly Osbourne recently voiced her strong opinions about a clash between Jack and fellow contestant Kelly, branding the Loose Women panellist "a bully" in an Instagram video.
Kelly alleged that her brother's campmate was "so performative, with all the gagging and the over-dramatics" and stated: "You bring out my big-sister vibes where I want to attack you because I feel like you're a bit of a bully."
However, Kelly's stepfather has since dismissed the bullying allegations as "a load of rubbish," according to the Daily Mail, while her husband Jeremy Parisi has similarly maintained there is no issue between her and Jack when approached by The Mirror.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
