The new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! launched with spectacular drama on Sunday night, 16th November 2025, as celebrities including Heart's Kelly Brook faced their first gruelling Bushtucker Trial.
Parachutes and Putrid Challenges
The evening began dramatically with celebrities skydiving from helicopters onto a beach near the jungle camp. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly welcomed the stars before immediately throwing them into a gory mission that would test their stomachs to the limit.
Kelly Brook joined Martin Kemp, Shona McGarty, Aitch, and Eddie Kadi for the opening challenge, which involved crawling through a cage filled with slime, fish guts, and animal parts. The celebrities became drenched in blood and gore as they searched for tools hidden within piles of butchered organs.
Luxury Versus Cockroach Comfort
The stakes were high for the jungle newcomers. Successful contestants would earn seats in the luxurious Getaway Car, complete with cocktails, canapés, steak dinners, and the most comfortable beds in camp.
After battling through the disgusting conditions, Aitch and Eddie emerged victorious, securing their premium transport to camp. Meanwhile, Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp, and Shona McGarty faced the less glamorous alternative - the "Cockie Van," a cockroach-shaped vehicle that provided a far less comfortable journey.
Martin Kemp had previously joked about feeling pressure to outperform his son Roman Kemp, who placed third in the 2019 series. "The pressure is on me to do a bit better than that," he said before the challenge. "I'd love to say I don't wanna win, but I do..."
Expanded Cast and New Rules
The launch episode also featured Jack Osbourne, Angry Ginge, Alex Scott, Ruby Wax, and Lisa Riley, with several facing their own stomach-churning trials involving slithering snakes.
Executive producer Olly Nash revealed significant changes for this year's series, telling the Daily Mail: "It's a tough and gruelling show, and there's nothing wrong with driving that home. We need to see more celebrities earning their keep."
New rules implemented this series prevent celebrities from participating in more than two consecutive Bushtucker Trials. If voted for two challenges in a row, they become exempt from the next vote, though the system resets afterwards.
Nash emphasised that this year's cast will "fight more, earn more and play a bigger part in camp" compared to last year's "positive happy cast." The production team has ensured that more celebrities will participate in trials than ever before, increasing the competitive element.
Viewers quickly took to social media to praise what many called one of the strongest opening episodes in years, setting the stage for what promises to be an intense and entertaining series in the Australian jungle.
