Hyndburn Borough Council has registered a series of planning applications between Monday, April 20 and Sunday, April 26. The proposals cover a wide range of developments, from agricultural buildings to household extensions and tree conservation works.
Full Applications
One of the most significant applications is the full proposal at Blacklaw Farm, Wilpshire Road, Rishton. The plan includes various elevation changes to the existing dwelling, along with the conversion and extension of two attached barns to create three new dwellings. The development also includes associated landscaping, parking, and gardens.
Another full application involves the erection of an agricultural building at Windy Harbour Farm, Kings Highway, Huncoat, Accrington. Additionally, a retrospective application seeks to change the use of agricultural storage areas to form an extension to a dwelling at Childers House Farm, Rams Clough Lane, Oswaldtwistle.
Householder Developments
Several householder applications have been submitted. At 35 Mortimer Avenue, Great Harwood, a prior approval is requested for a single storey rear extension. A two storey rear extension and rear dormer is proposed at East View, Willows Lane, Accrington. At 54 Mount St James, Knuzden, the plan involves raising the roof height and erecting front and rear dormers.
Other householder applications include the demolition of an existing garage and erection of a two storey side extension, recladding in stone, new roof covering, new windows, and a new double garage at 13 Newton Drive, Baxenden. At Dovea, 349A Blackburn Road, Oswaldtwistle, the proposal is to raise the roof pitch and ridge height with the addition of front, rear, and side first floor dormer extensions. A single storey rear extension is planned at 99 Plantation Street, Accrington.
Further householder applications include an extension to the front dormer at 30 Cranbrook Avenue, Oswaldtwistle, and an extension of the existing front dormer at 14 Keats Close, Baxenden.
Variation of Conditions
A variation of Condition 2 (Approved Plans) and Condition 15 (Tree Protection Plan) of planning permission 11/24/0393 is sought for Aldi Foodstore Ltd, Hyndburn Road, Accrington.
Advertisement Consent
Advertisement consent is requested for the installation of an illuminated sign and banner at 146 Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors.
Certificate of Lawful Use
A certificate of lawful use is proposed for the erection of a rear dormer at 10 Moss Hall Road, Accrington.
Tree Conservation Area Applications
Several tree works in conservation areas have been submitted. At 8 Bentcliffe Gardens, Accrington, the proposal is to remove T1 Ash, crown lift T2 Lawson Cypress by 4 metres, and crown lift T2 Sycamore lower 4 branches. At 10 Cannon Street, Accrington, extensive works include removing a dead stem and deadwood from T1 Cabbage tree, felling T2 and T6 Elm and Ash respectively, crown lifting and deadwood removal on T3 Elm, crown lifting T4 Copper Beech by 3 metres, reducing T5 Lime crown by 8 metres with epicormic and deadwood removal, and crown lifting T7 Copper Beech by 3 metres and pruning 2 metres back from the building. At 41 Towneley Avenue, Accrington, a Silver Birch is to be felled and the stump ground out.
