Mondo Duplantis Inspires £6.31 Ticket for Birmingham 2026

World record pole vault superstar Armand 'Mondo' Duplantis has inspired a special ticket offer for the European Athletics Championships Birmingham 2026. A new 'Mondo Ticket' priced at just £6.31, matching the height of his current world record jump of 6.31 metres, has been released for session nine on Friday 14 August, when the Swedish athlete competes in his qualifying round.

Inspiring Young Fans

Duplantis becomes only the second athlete ever to have a dedicated children’s ticket named after them at a top-tier UK athletics event. The ticket offers young fans the chance to watch the three-time European and two-time Olympic champion for the lowest price yet offered. Duplantis has broken the world record 15 times since 2020, most recently clearing 6.31m at the Mondo Classic in March 2026. Should he break his own record again at the London Diamond League, the Mondo Ticket price will increase accordingly.

Athlete's Statement

Mondo Duplantis said: “Setting a world record in front of any crowd is special, but it means even more knowing young fans and families can experience pole vault, and even another record, at a special World Record price. 6.31m is a major milestone I’m proud of, and I’m excited to celebrate it with fans – I hope to see young supporters from Birmingham, across the UK and Europe in the stands.”

Family-Friendly Championships

With the Mondo Ticket and a family of four able to attend from just £33, the European Athletics Championships Birmingham 2026 is set to be one of the most family-friendly major championships. Fans from across the UK, Europe and beyond will head to Alexander Stadium from 10-16 August. Cherry Alexander, Birmingham 2026 Championship Director, said: “Mondo’s record speaks for itself. Having a three-time European Champion, Olympic, World and Diamond League champion front a ticket offer adds real excitement to what is already shaping up to be a hugely family-friendly championship. We can’t wait to see him shine in Birmingham.”

Other Event Highlights

Alongside Duplantis’ qualifying round, Friday morning features round one of the men's 1500m, men's and women's 4x400m relay events, women's heptathlon events including 100m hurdles and high jump, and more. Group Tickets are also available for sessions 1, 3, 5 and 7, offering discounted rates for youth groups, student groups, adult groups, and mixed-age groups. For child-focused groups, every nine young person tickets at £5 each unlock two free accompanying adult tickets.
