A Dream Move to the Premier League

In his first interview as a Villa player, the 17-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on the day of the move, expressed his delight at joining what he described as a "beautiful club." Madjo revealed that the allure of the Premier League and Villa's specific project were decisive factors in his move. "It's a dream for me to play in the Premier League for such a big club," he told Villa TV. "The project was the one for me, the environment is very good for me and the coaching staff will help me to improve. This is a great opportunity for me because it's going to make me grow."

From Luxembourg to Ligue 1: Madjo's Rapid Rise

Brian Madjo's football journey is already a diverse one. Born in Enfield, London, he was raised in Luxembourg, where he began playing for FC Marisca Mersch before joining the academy of Racing FC Luxembourg. His potential was spotted by FC Metz, who brought him to France in the summer of 2023. After impressing for their Under-19s, his rapid progression continued.

He earned a senior call-up for the Luxembourg national team and made his professional club debut at the start of the 2025/26 season. Madjo started Metz's opening Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg and also featured from the beginning against Lyon, gaining five senior appearances in total before his transfer to England.

Adaptability and a Focus on Improvement

The young forward believes his experiences across different countries have prepared him well for the challenge at Villa Park. "I know how to adapt because I've played in Luxembourg and in France, so I know what it's like to change to another country," Madjo explained. He credits his brief stint in senior football with accelerating his development, stating that playing against experienced professionals taught him about intensity and responsibility.

Looking ahead, his mindset is firmly fixed on development under Villa's management. "My main focus is to improve every day," he stated. "I know what a great manager we have here, what he can do for me and how I can improve. That's my main focus." With his family also thrilled by the move, the stage is set for Brian Madjo to begin the next chapter of his promising career in Birmingham.
