Wolves have set another unwanted record as their miserable Premier League season continues. The latest low came with a defeat at Brighton, making them only the second team in Premier League history to lose to every other side in a single season.
Record of Defeats
Rob Edwards' side has now lost to all 19 other Premier League teams this campaign. The only previous team to suffer this fate was Sheffield United in the 2023/24 season. Wolves had earlier avoided Derby County's record low points total of 11, but other negative milestones have piled up.
Goal-Scoring Woes
Another damning statistic emerged after the weekend: Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has scored 25 Premier League goals this season, one more than Wolves' entire team total of 24. Wolves are now dangerously close to the lowest goal totals in Premier League history. The lowest scorers include Sheffield United (20 in 2020/21), Derby County (20 in 2007/08), Sunderland (21 in 2002/03), Huddersfield Town (22 in 2018/19), and Norwich City (23 in 2021/22).
Wolves fans will be hoping for a turnaround, but with the season winding down, avoiding further unwanted records is the immediate focus.
