Olympic champion Adam Peaty has married model Holly Ramsay in a lavish ceremony at the historic Bath Abbey, surrounded by a host of famous faces but notably without his own parents in attendance.
A Star-Studded Celebration in Somerset
The wedding, which took place on Saturday, saw a glittering guest list descend upon the Somerset city. Among those present were football legend Sir David Beckham, his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, and their children Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
Other notable attendees included Channel 5 newsreader Dan Walker and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who was photographed walking his 25-year-old daughter down the aisle. The bride's bridesmaids included Peaty's sister, Bethany, and Holly's sisters, Megan and Tilly.
Dragons' Den star Sara Davies, who danced with Peaty on the 19th series of Strictly Come Dancing, shared heartfelt photos on Instagram. She described the service as "beautiful" and praised the "best wedding food I've ever had," wishing the couple "a lifetime of happiness."
Family Rift Overshadows Nuptials
Despite the celebrations, a poignant shadow was cast by the absence of the groom's mother, Caroline Peaty, and father, Mark. In a pre-wedding interview with the Daily Mail, Caroline Peaty spoke of a family fall-out, reportedly triggered after she was not invited to Holly's hen do.
"I don't think they understand how much they have hurt me; it's as if they have cut my heart out," she said. "This is the first Christmas that I've not had my family together – my family is broken." She added, however, that she still loved the couple and wanted them to have "the best day."
Gordon Ramsay, in contrast, expressed sheer pride on social media, posting: "I'm truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son-in-law @adam_peaty!"

Holly Ramsay made a dramatic entrance at the abbey, her wedding dress details concealed beneath a full-length white cloak that hinted at a scalloped skirt and train. Her bridesmaids carried bouquets of what appeared to be calla lilies.

The couple, who reportedly met through Holly's sister Tilly during the 2021 series of Strictly, announced their engagement in September 2024. Dan Walker summed up the day on social media, calling it a "great wedding" with "top people" and an "unforgettable reception." As the newlyweds begin their life together, the event will be remembered both for its celebrity glamour and its underlying family tension.
