The club's primary aims include winning trophies and narrowing the revenue gap with teams like Tottenham and Chelsea. Injury Scare and Swift Recovery
McGinn detailed his injury ordeal, which occurred during a 1-0 home defeat to Everton in January. He described feeling immediate discomfort after blocking a pass early in the game, leading to fears of a serious knee injury that could have sidelined him for six months or more. Initially hoping to play on without surgery, he soon realized the severity as swelling increased, necessitating a minor knee procedure.
The 31-year-old midfielder admitted being "petrified" at first, but scans revealed only a minor injury, allowing him to return to action in six weeks instead of the expected six to eight. McGinn stressed the importance of taking care of his body as he ages, noting that attempting to "brave on" without surgery would have been unwise. Since his return in March, he has contributed key performances, including scoring in Europa League and Premier League matches against Lille and West Ham.
