Rochdale AFC Community Trust Unveils First Colour Dash Event
Rochdale AFC Community Trust is thrilled to introduce its inaugural Colour Dash, a vibrant and inclusive family-friendly occasion set to take place at Denehurst Park. This exciting event promises a lively and memorable experience for all attendees, blending fun with philanthropy in a unique community celebration.
Event Details and Schedule
The Colour Dash will feature participants navigating a route around Denehurst Park, enhanced with multiple colour paint stations and engaging obstacles designed to cater to all ages and abilities. Whether walking or running, individually or in groups, this event offers a distinctive pre-match warm-up unlike any other. Activities commence on Saturday, April 11, starting with an energising warm-up led by Desmond at 1.30pm, followed by starting waves from 2.30pm. All proceedings will conclude in ample time for participants and supporters to proceed to the Crown Oil Arena for the Rochdale AFC versus Wealdstone match later that evening.
Free Entry and Incentives
Thanks to substantial funding and sponsorship, entry to the Colour Dash is completely free. Every participant will receive a specially commissioned Rochdale AFC Colour Dash medal. Additionally, the first 100 participants will be granted a match ticket for the Rochdale AFC v Wealdstone game. Those who raise £10 or more in sponsorship will also obtain a free official event t-shirt, adding extra motivation for community involvement.
Charitable Impact and Community Support
All funds generated from the Colour Dash will directly benefit the charitable endeavours of Rochdale AFC Community Trust. This includes covering operational costs for Our Teams, supporting welfare programmes such as the Dale Food Pantry, and extending outreach efforts across the borough.
