Local boxer Shae Gowler made a spectacular entrance into the professional boxing world, delivering a knockout blow to his opponent, Hampshire's Stefan Vincent, in under two minutes of the first round. The thrilling match took place in Doncaster, where Gowler and his enthusiastic supporters completed a 160-mile round trip to witness his debut.

"I felt confident because I knew my training camp had been thorough," he said. "We hadn't left any stone unturned."
