Asda Overhauls Frozen Food Aisles in All Stores to Reward Loyal Customers
Asda Overhauls Frozen Food Aisles in All Stores

Asda, a major supermarket chain competing with Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Morrisons, has announced a significant overhaul of its frozen food aisles across all stores as part of its biggest transformation in years aimed at rewarding loyal customers.

Major Product Refresh

The retailer has launched more than 400 new food and drink lines, marking one of its most extensive product refreshes in recent years. Alongside this, Asda has upgraded two of its most shopped categories: fresh produce and frozen foods.

Frozen Category Transformation

The frozen section has been redesigned to make shopping quicker and easier, featuring a clearer layout and improved signage. Best-selling lines now receive more prominent placement on shelves. Over 230 new frozen products have been introduced, bringing fresh innovation and adding brands such as Crosta Mollica.

Price Reductions and Value

On pricing, hundreds of frequently purchased items have been reduced to a new lower Asda Price, including beef mince, pork sausages, eggs, baby potatoes, and baked beans. Further reductions are expected in the coming weeks. This move reinforces Asda's position as the UK's cheapest full-range supermarket, with thousands of products already priced below competitors.

New Roundels and Rewards Programme

New £1 and £2 roundels have been introduced in-store and online to help customers easily spot standout value. The enhanced Rewards programme now includes new missions and offers across different categories, including fresh, frozen, and general merchandise.

Customer-Centric Approach

Rachel Eyre, Chief Customer Officer at Asda, stated: 'We know many customers are making careful choices when they shop, and our job is to do even more to support them. These changes offer greater value and choice in areas they shop the most and improve the in-store shopping experience. They are about rewarding customers for their loyalty, as well as encouraging those who haven’t been to Asda for a while to take a fresh look. We’re confident they’ll see the difference straight away.'
