He elaborated that the government's new Fuel Finder scheme displays prices from every forecourt nationwide, including independent stations, providing updates within 30 minutes of any change.
Soaring Costs This Easter
This Easter period is projected to be the most expensive on the roads since the early stages of the Ukraine war in 2022. The average price of unleaded petrol has increased by 19.2p per litre since late February, with diesel reaching a three-year peak. Households are acutely feeling the impacts of the Middle East conflict, as petrol is likely to exceed 152p per litre soon and diesel approaches 181p.
