In a major move for home entertainment, EE has decisively undercut rival Sky by slashing the price of its flagship TV and Netflix package to a historic low. The provider's extended Black Friday promotion now offers its Entertainment TV bundle for just £13 per month, a price it claims is the 'lowest ever'.
Record-Breaking Deal Details
This aggressive offer forms part of a sale period that has been extended beyond Black Friday and will now run until Thursday, December 11. The bundle typically costs £20 per month, meaning the latest cut saves customers a substantial £168 over the standard 24-month contract term.
For the monthly fee, subscribers gain access to up to 150 channels. Crucially, this includes popular Sky Originals available on Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, and Sky Kids. The package also comes with a free Netflix subscription, adding significant value for streaming fans.
How EE Compares to Sky and Virgin Media
The new pricing positions EE's offering as a direct and cheaper challenger to Sky's equivalent package. Sky's Essential TV bundle provides around 100 channels, plus free Netflix and Discovery+, for £15 per month.
However, there is an important condition to the EE deal: it must be paired with one of the company's broadband plans. When combined with the entry-level 74Mbps fibre broadband, the total monthly cost rises to £39.99.
This makes Virgin Media a viable alternative for customers in its service areas. Virgin is currently promoting a bundle with more than 200 channels, free Netflix, and 362Mbps broadband for £36.99, and it is free for the first three months until December 10.
Additional Offers and Future Price Rises
EE has also unveiled a tempting offer for sports enthusiasts. Its Sport bundle, which includes hundreds of football matches on TNT Sports channels covering the Champions League, Europa League, and Premier League, plus boxing, UFC, and rugby, is reduced to just £2 for six months when taken with a fibre broadband plan.
Prospective customers should note that, like most providers, EE implements annual price increases. Those signing up for the £13 Entertainment bundle will see their combined broadband and TV bill rise to £45.99 from March 31, 2026, and £51.99 from March 31, 2027.
Customer Feedback on Trustpilot
The provider has received positive reviews from users on Trustpilot. One customer who switched from Sky commented on the simplicity of the process, while another stated they were "very happy indeed" after adding broadband and TV to their existing mobile plan.
Another review, while awarding five stars for EE's "customer-focused approach," noted some initial confusion during set-up that was promptly resolved by the customer service team.
With its extended sale, EE is making a clear play for budget-conscious consumers seeking a comprehensive entertainment package, firmly positioning itself as a strong competitor in the busy UK broadband and TV market.
