Martin Lewis' MSE Team Reveals How to Boost Your Nationwide £100 Bonus Chances
MSE Tip to Boost Your Nationwide £100 Bonus Chances

The financial experts at Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) have issued timely guidance for Nationwide Building Society customers hoping to secure a potential £100 bonus in 2026.

Optimising Your Eligibility for the Nationwide Bonus

While Nationwide has not yet officially announced the bonus scheme for 2026, the lender has a strong track record, having paid the £100 reward to eligible customers for the past three consecutive years. This history gives savers and current account holders a solid reason to prepare.

Based on the 2025 eligibility rules, which are likely to be similar, customers will need to have held a qualifying Nationwide account that remains open and active until at least 31 March 2026. An active account is one that is in regular use, with money being deposited.

Key Criteria for FlexAccount, FlexBasic & FlexDirect

For holders of FlexAccount, FlexBasic, or FlexDirect current accounts, the MSE team outlines the primary routes to qualify. The first option requires customers to pay in at least £500 and make two payments out of the account during the relevant period.

A second path is to make ten payments out of the account, with no minimum pay-in requirement. Finally, completing a full current account switch from another bank or building society to Nationwide will also secure eligibility.

Rules for Student and Graduate Accounts

For customers with a FlexOne, FlexGraduate, or FlexStudent account, the requirements are simpler. They will need to make just one payment either into or out of the account during the month of March. Alternatively, completing a full switch to a Nationwide FlexOne or FlexStudent account before the 31 March deadline will also work.

The team at MSE stresses that while the offer is anticipated, it is not yet confirmed. Birmingham Live has contacted Nationwide for an official comment on the 2026 scheme.
