The final destination was the large Tesco superstore in Yardley, which proved to be a revelation. The store features an entire upper floor dedicated to The Range, while the ground level offered half-price clothing, a Smyths toy section, and fresh produce. Efficient self-scan technology with weighbridges kept queues moving, and staff were noted for their jolly and helpful demeanour.
