Kennedy's Pub Opens in Moseley: Live Sport, Music & Food
New Kennedy's Pub opens in Moseley, Birmingham

The Birmingham suburb of Moseley is preparing to welcome a vibrant new social hub as Kennedy's Pub opens its doors this Friday, 28th November. The establishment is breathing new life into the former One Trick Pony Club site, having been meticulously restored by its new, independent family owners.

Gary McDonnell, Joint Owner of Kennedy's, stated the vision was clear from the outset: "From day one, our goal has been simple: to bring back the type of pub you can pop into any day of the week and feel right at home." He emphasised a focus on good beer, good food, and good company without any gimmicks, creating a classic pub atmosphere for everyone.

A Premier Destination for Live Sport

Kennedy's is set to become Moseley's go-to venue for sports enthusiasts. The pub has been fitted with an array of screens throughout, ensuring live sports are available seven days a week. Coverage will include Premier League and international football, rugby, cricket, and boxing.

For those who prefer the open air, a giant screen has been installed in the revamped garden. This outdoor area now also features a heated marquee, allowing guests to enjoy the space and watch key matches and tournaments all year round, regardless of the weather.

Classic Pub Fare and Live Entertainment

The kitchen at Kennedy's will serve up hearty, familiar favourites designed to complement a cold pint. The menu focuses on well-executed staples such as burgers, pies, fish and chips, and bar snacks. Patrons can look forward to the introduction of Sunday Roasts starting in the new year.

The drinks selection is equally robust, featuring a strong range of beers, ciders, and ales. There will be a rotating selection of local options, alongside wines, spirits, and alcohol-free choices.

Beyond sport, the pub will host a regular programme of live music, bringing both local performers and established acts for weekend entertainment. The launch weekend will feature acts like Lynne and the Encore and Push to Play. For something different, the venue offers interactive darts and will host speed quizzing on Sundays, providing a high-energy social experience for groups and casual visitors alike.
