The Genesis G80, already known for its luxury and value, has received a significant update that makes it even more practical for everyday use. The Korean automaker has focused on enhancing the interior space and technology features, catering to the needs of discerning drivers in Birmingham and beyond.
More Space and Comfort
The updated G80 boasts increased rear legroom and a larger boot, addressing previous criticisms about its practicality. The wheelbase has been extended by 130mm, providing more generous space for passengers. The seats have been redesigned for improved comfort, with available heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Advanced Technology
The infotainment system now features a larger 14.5-inch touchscreen with over-the-air update capability. The digital instrument cluster is also upgraded, offering a customizable display. Advanced driver assistance systems have been enhanced, including a new remote smart parking assist feature that allows the car to park itself remotely via the key fob.
Powertrain Options
Buyers can choose from a range of powertrains, including a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 300 horsepower, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 375 horsepower, and a 2.2-liter diesel option. All versions come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option.
Birmingham Appeal
For Birmingham drivers, the G80 offers a compelling alternative to established German rivals. The combination of luxury, practicality, and competitive pricing makes it an attractive choice. Genesis has also committed to a high level of customer service, including a five-year Carefree Ownership package that covers all maintenance, warranty, and roadside assistance.
The updated Genesis G80 is expected to arrive in UK showrooms later this year, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
