Asda Slashes Prices on 400+ Food and Drink Items

Asda has unveiled a major overhaul across its UK stores, introducing over 400 new food and drink lines and slashing prices on hundreds of everyday items. The supermarket giant is also rolling out a 100% satisfaction money-back guarantee on fresh produce, aiming to enhance customer confidence and shopping experience.

New Lines and Fresh Promise

The new offerings span categories including frozen, bakery, produce, fresh meat, and food to go. In the fruit and vegetable section, dedicated greengrocers are returning to aisles to ensure availability and quality, helping customers select the best seasonal produce. The section now features clearer information on quality and provenance, alongside Asda’s fresh promise of a full refund if not completely satisfied.

Frozen Category Transformation

The frozen aisle has been revamped for quicker and easier shopping, with a clearer layout and signage. More than 230 new frozen products have been introduced, including brands like Crosta Mollica, bringing fresh innovation to the category.

Price Cuts on Popular Items

Hundreds of top-selling products have been reduced to a new lower Asda Price, including beef mince, pork sausages, eggs, baby potatoes, and baked beans. Further reductions are planned in the coming weeks. This builds on Asda’s position as the UK’s cheapest full-range supermarket, with thousands of items already priced below competitors at Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons.

Value and Rewards

New £1 and £2 roundels have been introduced in-store and online to highlight standout value. The enhanced Rewards programme now includes missions and offers across fresh, frozen, and general merchandise categories.

Rachel Eyre, Chief Customer Officer at Asda, said: “We know many customers are making careful choices when they shop, and our job is to do even more to support them. These changes offer greater value and choice in areas they shop the most and improve the in-store shopping experience. They’re about rewarding customers for their loyalty, as well as encouraging those who haven’t been to Asda for a while to take a fresh look. We’re confident they’ll see the difference straight away.”
