Birmingham's Big Winners
The biggest prize for Birmingham in the June draw was £100,000, won by bond number 652WE180957. The winner purchased this bond in November 2025 with a £2,500 investment and held a total of £47,100 in bonds. Additionally, a £50,000 prize went to bond 641RF673117, and a £25,000 prize to bond 244AZ553459.
£10,000 Prizes for Birmingham
Ten prizes of £10,000 were awarded in the Birmingham area. The winning bond numbers are: 619PD885968, 45WQ229631, 242RD914607, 497AD749849, 203RR790007, 456QV816477, 276PN859814, 466GS838877, 487QR752408, and 388RF123480.
£1 Million Jackpot Winners
The first £1 million prize was won by a bond holder from Cheshire West and Chester, with bond number 573GA618329, purchased in March 2024 with a £23,400 investment. The second £1 million jackpot went to a saver from Leeds, bond number 662EK268242, bought in February 2026 with £8,300. Both winners held additional bonds, with total holdings of £33,800 and £42,425 respectively.
Upcoming Premium Bond Changes
From the July draw, NS&I will increase the prize fund rate to 3.8% and improve the odds of winning to 22,000 to one. While the odds are still slim, holding more bonds increases the chances of winning. Most prizes are for small amounts like £25 or £50, but some winners have defied the odds with minimal investments.
For example, a Bristol holder won £10,000 with just £10 in bonds (bond 13KN157809, purchased in November 1979). A Coventry saver with £50 won £25,000, and a Norfolk holder with £50 claimed £5,000. Conversely, recent buyers also succeeded: a South Yorkshire winner with £9,300 bought in April 2026 won £100,000, and an Outer London winner with £600 bought in April 2026 also won £100,000.
