Crystal Palace centre-back Maxence Lacroix is expected to sign for Chelsea for around £47.4 million after the World Cup, according to L’Equipe. The 26-year-old started in France’s 4-1 victory over Norway on Friday and is set to leave Selhurst Park once the tournament has finished.

Newcastle are interested in signing Germany midfielder Felix Nmecha this summer, according to the Daily Mail. The 25-year-old has a £73.5 million buyout clause at Borussia Dortmund but a lower price could be negotiated.

Fulham secure Jonah Kusi-Asare permanently
Fulham have signed teenage forward Jonah Kusi-Asare on a permanent deal after a promising loan spell last season. The 18-year-old Swede made 10 first-team appearances for the Cottagers after joining on loan from Bayern Munich in September 2025 and he has now left the Bundesliga champions to sign a five-year contract with Fulham.
Kusi-Asare told FFCtv: “I’m very happy to be a permanent Fulham player. From my first week here, it was very good – I felt like I was a part of the Fulham family. The changing room was very nice, team, staff, so I’m very happy to stay here.”
Fulham director Tony Khan said: “I’m thrilled to welcome Jonah Kusi-Asare to Fulham on a long-term contract. We believe that he is a very talented young player with massive potential and a bright future, and we’re very happy that Jonah is joining the club permanently now following his time with us on loan.”
Elliot Anderson’s Man City transfer delayed
England boss Thomas Tuchel says Elliot Anderson’s proposed transfer to Manchester City will have to wait until after Saturday’s World Cup clash with Panama to be finalised. Anderson is poised to join City in a club-record transfer from Nottingham Forest after the two clubs agreed a deal on Thursday. The 23-year-old, who has been nursing a muscle injury since the 0-0 draw with Ghana on Tuesday, needs to undergo a medical, but Tuchel says that the focus is on England’s Group L finale against Panama in New Jersey.
Tuchel said: “We have no distractions, no medical before the match. Our focus was on his recovery and getting him available for training, and his focus was on training and travelling with us, so no distractions from the main topic, which is clearly the match. We want to win the match, we want to win the group and we need Elliot in the right mindset. The reality is that transfers are going on in world football, while we are playing, and big transfers take their time. So we understand that things are going on behind the scenes, and we will facilitate, of course, that transfer, but after the match, not before.”
Should Anderson’s move to Etihad Stadium be completed, he will join up with England team-mate Marc Guehi. The central defender played dumb when asked about the possible deal, but says any club would be grateful to have the Forest star. “To be honest, I wasn’t even aware of anything to do with transfers,” he said. “I’ve only found out now today.”
Alan Hutton tips Jarrod Bowen for Aston Villa
Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton believes Unai Emery could get even more out of Jarrod Bowen should the West Ham star make the move this summer. Villa hold a strong interest in the 29-year-old following the Hammers' relegation to the Championship last season. Bowen still has four years remaining on his contract, and West Ham are also expected to sell both Matheus Fernandes and Crysencio Summerville this summer.
Those departures would generate significant funds for the club. It has been reported that West Ham would demand around £50 million for Bowen in this transfer window, given the important role he would play in helping the club secure an immediate return to the Premier League. A West Ham legend, Bowen has reached double figures for goals in all competitions in each of the last five seasons. However, Hutton believes the forward could take his game to another level under Emery.
“I think Jarrod Bowen would be a good addition to Aston Villa,” Alan Hutton told PariuriX.com. “He has been very loyal to West Ham, and he has been their captain as well. You can see how much the club means to him, and I think people really like that. He is not just a quality player; he also works really hard. He shows that week in, week out. I think Aston Villa would be able to get even more out of him. He would have good players around him, and he could be even better than what he already is.”
