The Championship transfer window officially opens on Monday, June 15, but deals are already being completed across the division. Birmingham City have made just one signing to date, with popular loanee Jhon Solis joining permanently for £6 million on a four-year contract.
Bristol City's Busy Week
Bristol City completed three signings in the space of a week. Goalkeeper Sam Tickle arrived from Wigan, Sam Greenwood returned to England after a stint in Poland with Pogon Szczecin, and Gibson Yah joined from Dutch side Volendam. The Robins also signed highly-rated forward Billy O'Neill from Irish side Bray Wanderers.
Norwich City's Eye-Catching Deals
Norwich City signed Sheffield United winger Andre Brooks in one of the more notable Championship deals of the summer, with the fee reported at £8 million. Norwich have also committed to a permanent transfer for midfielder Sam Field following his loan from QPR and bagged 20-year-old Brazilian defender Bruno Alves from Cruzeiro on loan.
Stoke City's Triple Signing
Stoke City have acquired goalkeeper Josh Griffiths from West Bromwich Albion, midfielder Djibril Soumare from Braga after his loan at Sheffield United last season, and completed a permanent deal for loan striker Milan Smit from Go Ahead Eagles.
West Brom and Derby County Moves
West Brom have signed goalkeeper Matt Ingram to replace Griffiths, plus young forwards Jimmy-Jay Morgan and Barney Stewart from Chelsea and Falkirk respectively. Derby County have forked out £6 million to make Bobby Clark's loan from RB Salzburg a permanent deal.
QPR and West Ham Activity
QPR have signed left-back Boy Kemper from Dutch side NAC Breda, where he scored five goals and assisted a further three in 32 Eredivisie games last term. West Ham, braced for big bids for their best players following relegation, have stocked up their wide department with the signing of 22-year-old Venezuelan Keiber Lamadrid. The winger initially joined West Ham on loan in January and made his first-team debut in an FA Cup victory over Burton Albion.
Millwall and Southampton Signings
Millwall have signed 21-year-old midfielder Jenson Metcalfe from Bradford City. Southampton have already re-signed goalkeeper Daniel Peretz and striker Cyle Larin after their impressive loans at St Mary's. It is estimated that the double deal has cost Southampton around £10 million. Saints have also signed back-up goalkeeper George Long on a permanent deal from Norwich after his loan spell.
Wolves Bring in Experience
Wolves have signed ex-England full-back Kieran Trippier on a two-year contract. Trippier has been joined at Molineux by Mexico international striker Raul Jimenez, while Wolves have made Ladislav Krejčí's loan from Girona a permanent deal.
Other Championship Moves
Blackburn Rovers have signed loan midfielder Moussa Baradji on a permanent deal from Swiss Super League club Yverdon-Sport. Newly-promoted Bolton Wanderers have signed Scotland Under-21 midfielder David Watson on a three-year contract from Kilmarnock and added experienced defender Ben Davies on a free transfer from Rangers. Middlesbrough have made Jeremy Sarmiento a permanent signing, as per the conditions of their loan agreement with Brighton. Birmingham City showed interest in signing Sarmiento in January before dropping out of the race. Finnish midfielder Leo Walta's loan at Swansea City from IK Sirius has become a permanent transfer. Burnley have made Florentino Luis's loan move a permanent deal for a reported £20 million.
