Last-Minute Christmas Bargains: The Range Cuts Gifts to 20p, Tesco Slashes Prices
Christmas essentials slashed to 20p at The Range

With Christmas Day fast approaching, a major UK retailer has launched a dramatic price-cutting spree on festive essentials, offering significant relief for last-minute shoppers. The Range has drastically reduced the cost of a wide array of Christmas stock, with some items now available for mere pennies.

Festive Finds for Under 50p

The Range has completely cut the cost of its remaining Christmas items in the final lead-up to the 25th of December. Shoppers browsing online have discovered heavily discounted goods, including essential wrapping paper and gift bags, perfect for those needing to stock up swiftly.

Among the standout bargains are gift bags, with prices starting from an astonishing just 20p as of December 22. The cheapest option is a brown paper bag featuring the cheerful message "Oh what fun!". For accompanying gift tags, a pack of 20 festive designs can be purchased for only 30p, representing a huge half-price saving.

Those in need of wrapping paper haven't been forgotten either. The retailer is currently offering three different festive print rolls for a reduced price of 49p each. Each roll provides four metres in length and is 70cm wide. All these items are available for purchase through the online shop, with in-store shoppers at local branches also likely to find the same dramatic discounts.

Supermarket Savings Join the Festive Frenzy

The Range is not the only retailer offering major pre-Christmas discounts. Tesco has also highlighted six key offers available to shoppers right now, with significant savings for Clubcard members.

This week, members can get Tesco Finest Mince Pies for half price, down from £3 to £1.50. There's also a substantial 47 per cent saving on one-litre bottles of Baileys, now priced at £12 instead of £22.50—a saving of £10.50.

Further sweet treats include a 44 per cent reduction on the Quality Street Chocolate Large Refill Bag (685g), now £5, down from £9. For the Christmas dinner, Tesco Finest Roast Potatoes with Confit Garlic have been halved in price from £3 to £1.50.

Shoppers can also save on festive vegetables with an essentials offer of up to 89 per cent off, including some items for just 15p. Finally, to keep the celebrations powered, Tesco has cut the price of its Duracell Plus AA 12 Pack from £12 to £8.50.

A Welcome Relief for Last-Minute Shoppers

These widespread price cuts from major retailers provide a timely opportunity for consumers to complete their Christmas shopping without breaking the bank. The dramatic reductions, particularly on small but essential items like gift bags and tags, demonstrate a clear push to clear seasonal stock while offering genuine value.

With both general merchandise and grocery chains participating, it appears the final shopping dash before Christmas Day will be considerably kinder on wallets this year. Shoppers are advised to act quickly, however, as these deep discounts are likely to lead to high demand for the remaining stock.
