British fashion retailer Crew Clothing has announced a significant expansion of its high street presence, confirming plans to open four new shops before the end of the year.
New Store Locations Revealed
The company stated on Wednesday, December 3, that the new branches will launch "before or just after" Christmas 2025. The chosen locations are strategically placed within major shopping centres across England.
The four new shops will be situated at:
- The Bentall Centre in Kingston
- Churchill Square in Brighton
- Meadowhall in Sheffield
- The Glades in Bromley
A Strategic Retail Milestone
Crew Clothing described these final openings of 2025 as a "milestone" in its broader growth strategy. The brand, which currently operates around 100 branches in Britain, was founded in 1993 by Alistair Parker-Swift.
The company's origins trace back to Parker-Swift creating navy and white rugby shirts sourced from a local supplier. He later sold fashion items at the Cowes Week regatta on the Isle of Wight before establishing the first permanent store.
Expert Insight and Future Growth
Property experts from real estate firm Newmark advised on the deals. Fergus Dobbs, a surveyor at Newmark, commented on the brand's momentum, stating: “Crew Clothing is a standout British brand with a clear identity and strong customer appeal, its focus on quality retail environments and strategic positioning is driving real momentum.”
Suzanne Wildey, Crew Clothing's Group Head of Retail for the South UK, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Newmark as we continue to grow our store portfolio. Their insight and market knowledge have been invaluable.”
This expansion follows a period of what the company reported as "exceptional growth" prior to January 2025. The new stores form part of an ambitious plan to launch 20 new stores in 2025, signalling a confident phase of growth for the established British retailer.
