Victoria's Secret Fans Queue From 3am After 50-Mile Trip for Birmingham Opening
Two dedicated Victoria's Secret fans demonstrated extraordinary commitment by queuing from 3am after traveling 50 miles for the grand opening of the brand's new Birmingham store. Luna Sakajani, 21, and Kira Neys, 23, made the journey from Leicester to secure their position as the first in line at the Bullring location.
Early Morning Dedication
The young women arrived in the early hours of March 6, braving the cold to welcome back the beloved lingerie, loungewear, and perfume brand. By 9am, Kira confessed she was so cold she could barely type on her phone. Luna described their dedication humorously, stating, "We've been here since three in the morning like weirdos, we've come here for the opening. It's Victoria's Secret, we love Victoria's Secret. Anything pink and girly."
Excitement for the Return
Both fans expressed immense excitement about the store's return to the Midlands after its closure in 2024. Luna emphasized the convenience, saying, "There's no Victoria's Secret near us, and there's one near us now, so we don't have to order everything online." The pair were among dozens of shoppers who gathered to explore the two-story shop, which replaced the former Next site.
Grand Opening Festivities
Once the doors opened, shoppers were greeted with an energetic atmosphere featuring:
- Huge displays of lingerie and loungewear
- A live DJ providing upbeat music
- Free chocolate lollipops for visitors
- A Victoria's Secret branded photo booth
Kira and Luna later showcased multiple shopping bags filled with purchases, smiling and looking much more comfortable after browsing the store's extensive collection. The famous pink and white brand was officially welcomed back to Birmingham, marking a significant retail moment for the city.
