HSBC UK is offering new customers a £220 cash bonus when they open a current account. The switching incentive is available to those who open an HSBC UK Bank Account through the HSBC UK app, provided they meet the relevant eligibility criteria.
How to Qualify for the £220 Bonus
The bank, which has branches in Birmingham, has confirmed that customers can expect to receive the bonus within 60 days of fulfilling the requirements. Alongside the £220 bonus, account holders will also gain access to benefits such as the Global Money account, which allows customers to convert, spend and send money in multiple currencies from across the globe.
Customers will further enjoy a range of offers and discounts covering shopping, dining and travel. To qualify for the £220 switching offer, customers must satisfy the following conditions within 60 days of opening their account:
- Complete a full switch using the Current Account Switch Service (CASS) to move their everyday banking, including at least two direct debits.
- Deposit a minimum of £2,000 into their account.
- Spend £500 using a debit card linked to the account.

Additional Premier Account Offer
Separately to the new £220 switching offer, those eligible for the HSBC UK Premier Bank Account can still pocket a £500 welcome bonus when switching via CASS and satisfying the account eligibility requirements. Customers can qualify for the reward by paying in an annual personal salary of £100,000 or more, or by opening a Premier account and maintaining savings and investments of £100,000 or more with HSBC UK.
