Discount supermarket Lidl is launching a special Christmas initiative designed to take the stress out of gift wrapping for Birmingham residents. The 'Lidl Wrapped' scheme will see a pop-up store offer a complimentary wrapping service using exclusive, locally-inspired paper.
What is Lidl's 'Wrapped' Initiative?
The festive pop-up will be stationed at 55 Mere Green Road, B75 5BN in Birmingham for one day only on Wednesday, December 17. Shoppers can bring their Lidl purchases to the store, where a team of wrapping professionals will transform them into perfectly presented gifts. Lidl states this allows customers to spend less time on the "faff" of wrapping and more time enjoying the festivities with loved ones.
Exclusive Birmingham Merchandise and Charity Support
The bespoke wrapping paper created for the Birmingham pop-up features a design inspired by what the retailer calls the city's "most-loved Lidl product" – which appears to be flowers. For those who prefer to wrap at home, packs of three sheets of this exclusive paper can be purchased on-site for just 75p. All proceeds from these sales will be donated to the community charity Neighbourly.
Birmingham is not the only city receiving this special treatment. Lidl is taking its wrapping paper tour across major UK cities throughout December. A nationwide design featuring a Panettone is also available.
