Santander has launched a double deal offering new joiners £225 in cash and Amazon vouchers when they switch to a Santander Everyday, Edge, or Edge Up current account. The bank, which has branches in Birmingham, is urging customers to complete the switch before the Amazon voucher offer ends at 2pm on Thursday, July 9.
How to qualify for the £225
To receive the £180 cash payment, customers must switch their current account to Santander and set up two active household direct debits. Additionally, they need to pay in £1,500 within 60 days of opening the account. For the £45 Amazon gift card, customers must complete a full switch and also open and fund a Santander Regular Saver account with £200 within 30 days.
Account options and fees
The Everyday current account is fee-free and offers an award-winning mobile banking app with an optional arranged overdraft (subject to status). The Edge current account costs £3 per month and provides up to £10 cashback on selected household bills, fee-free card use abroad, and requires a monthly pay-in of £500 and two active direct debits. The Edge Up account, at £5 per month, offers up to £15 cashback on household bills, interest on balances up to £25,000, and fee-free foreign transactions, with a requirement of £1,500 monthly pay-in and two direct debits. The Edge Explorer account, priced at £17 per month, includes worldwide family travel insurance, UK and European breakdown cover, 24/7 remote GP access for the family, mobile phone insurance, up to £10 cashback on household bills, and additional cashback at supermarkets and on travel costs, along with fee-free card use abroad.
Important deadline
Customers must act before 2pm on Thursday, July 9, to secure the Amazon voucher. This offer is part of Santander's strategy to attract new customers in a competitive banking market.
