Tesco Expands Permanent Menopause-Friendly Bays Across England

Tesco has announced a significant expansion of its permanent menopause-friendly bays, rolling them out to 28 stores across England. This move follows strong customer demand and represents a 32% increase in the number of Tesco locations offering dedicated support for menopausal women.

Coventry Store Leads the Way in West Midlands

In the West Midlands, the Coventry Arena Extra store now features a clearly signposted menopause bay marked with the MTick symbol. This initiative brings together products designed to support 36 of the 48 recognised signs of menopause, including trusted brands such as Colgate, E45, and Lil-Lets.

The permanent MTick menopause bays have experienced the largest percentage increase in shelf space of any product category at Tesco, growing by an impressive 27% year-on-year. Stores displaying these dedicated bays have seen 16% faster like-for-like growth compared to locations without designated menopause sections.

Industry Leaders Praise the Initiative

Heather Jackson, CEO and Co-Founder of GenM, commented on the expansion: "The MTick was created to empower menopausal women, and those around her, to search, source and shop with confidence. By bringing greater education, visibility and trusted signposting together in one place, these bays are transforming the shopping experience and helping women more easily identify trusted products."

Jackson added: "Seeing MTick Menopause bays expand across 32% more Tesco stores, with familiar household names at accessible price points, means more women can access support in a way that suits their needs. I couldn't be more proud of GenM's partnership with Tesco, truly game-changing the landscape of menopause-friendly retail."

Tom Lye, Health & Wellness Category Director at Tesco, emphasized the company's commitment: "Our partnership with GenM is helping Tesco create a more menopause-friendly shopping experience. The MTick gives the category structure and credibility, helping customers quickly find trusted solutions. Expanding these bays to more stores reflects rising customer demand and Tesco's focus on championing women's health."
