Martin Lewis' MSE reveals 'unusual' Tesco trick for 250 free Clubcard points
Tesco trick: Get 250 free Clubcard points with Martin Lewis' MSE

Money Saving Expert, the site founded by BBC and ITV star Martin Lewis, has issued an "unusual" update for all Tesco Clubcard holders. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, MSE revealed a unique opportunity to boost Clubcard points this month.

How to earn free Clubcard points

According to MSE, each time you vote on Britain's Got Talent online, you can nab 50 points. With five more shows scheduled throughout May, that amounts to 250 free points up for grabs. MSE explained: "It's the equivalent of £2.50 to spend at Tesco, or up to £7.50 with Clubcard Reward Partners."

Step-by-step guide

The incentive launched on Saturday 25 April to mark the show's first live semi-final. If you missed Saturday's free points, there are still five more live shows throughout May. To participate, shoppers need both a Tesco Clubcard and a free ITV.com account. Voting opens during each live programme.

  • Those who take part in all five remaining shows can accumulate up to 250 Clubcard points.
  • This translates to £2.50 when spent at Tesco stores.
  • The value increases significantly when redeemed through Clubcard Reward Partners, where the same points stretch to as much as £7.50.

Tesco extends Aldi Price Match

As well as the Clubcard move, Tesco has made a significant pricing move affecting convenience shoppers. The retailer has extended its Aldi Price Match scheme to more than 2,000 Express stores nationwide, covering over 200 everyday products. Items included range from pasta and milk to fresh vegetables, with all price-matched goods clearly labelled on shelves.

Tesco UK chief executive Ashwin Prasad said: "We know that household budgets are again under pressure, but we are committed to keeping the cost of the weekly food shop affordable for Tesco customers."
