Sky Glass Air TV price slashed to £4.25/month in standout winter sale
Sky Glass Air TV price drops to £4.25/month in sale

January's annual wave of tech discounts has a clear standout this year, as Sky dramatically cuts the price of its flagship streaming television. The Sky Glass Air TV, which integrates the company's Sky Stream software directly into a high-end set, has seen its pay-monthly cost plummet to just £4.25 a month as part of the broadcaster's winter promotion.

Sky Glass Air: The Flagship Deal

As a tech editor who reviews hundreds of offers monthly, this particular Sky deal is exceptionally compelling. The new price of £4.25 per month for the 43-inch model represents a substantial saving of £168 compared to its usual cost. This device, launched in June 2025, allows viewers to access content via broadband instead of a satellite dish, packing a 4K HDR Quantum Dot screen and Dolby Audio speakers.

It is important to note that to secure this low monthly fee, customers must pair the Glass Air with a Sky TV package. An example is the £15 per month Essential TV bundle, which includes around 100 channels plus subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+. The earlier Sky Glass Gen 2 model is also discounted, now priced at £10.25 monthly.

Broadband and TV Bundle Savings

Beyond the headline TV offer, Sky is also targeting consumers looking to switch their combined TV and broadband provider in the new year. The company's Ultimate TV and Full Fibre 500 bundle is being promoted at its 'lowest price' of £39 per month, down from £44, saving £120 over the term.

This package includes 140 channels (featuring Sky Atlantic), 500Mbps full-fibre broadband, and complimentary Netflix and Discovery+ subscriptions. For a more budget-friendly option, the Essential TV and Full Fibre 300 bundle offers slower broadband and fewer channels for £35 monthly. To sweeten the deal, Sky will cover switching fees from other providers by up to £300.

Competition and Key Considerations

Sky faces stiff competition from rivals like Virgin Media, which offers an Entertainment bundle at £34.99 with over 200 channels, Netflix, and 362Mbps broadband, though it lacks Sky Atlantic. Plusnet also provides incentives like reward cards for new broadband customers.

A crucial point for all potential customers to remember is that both Sky and Virgin Media typically implement annual price increases every April. Anyone signing an 18 or 24-month contract should therefore anticipate their bill rising during the minimum term, which is a significant downside to locking into a long agreement.

With CES sparking new product launches and January traditionally fuelling sales, Sky's aggressive pricing on its Glass Air TV and broadband bundles presents some of the most eye-catching deals for UK tech shoppers this winter.
