Neil Muller, the 54-year-old CEO of technology company Node4, has been identified as the man found dead with stab wounds at his £2.5 million family home in the peaceful Warwickshire village of Claverdon. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, with paramedics called to the scene at 6.15am. Despite their efforts, Mr Muller was pronounced dead at 6.37am.
Arrest and Investigation
Warwickshire Police confirmed that a 55-year-old woman from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of murder at 7.33am, just over an hour after Mr Muller was discovered. She has since been released on bail as investigations continue. Officers remained at the scene on Tuesday, June 9.

In an official statement, a Node4 spokesman expressed profound grief: "We are absolutely devastated by the death of our CEO Neil Muller. Although Neil only recently joined Node4, he made a meaningful impact in a short space of time. He brought real energy, momentum and passion to the business, and his loss will be deeply felt by people across Node4 and the wider industry. Our thoughts are with Neil's family, our colleagues and everyone who knew Neil at this very difficult time."
Community Shock
Mr Muller, who joined Node4 in April after leading MSP Digital Space for seven years, was also a key figure in local football. He managed Claverdon FC and had previously served as assistant manager. Club chairman Charlie Waterworth said, "I have heard the news but it is just too early to be making any statements. I am out of the country. I don't know the circumstances. It would be wrong to say anything."
One resident, who requested anonymity, commented: "Neil did a lot for the local football club. I heard about it in the village shop this morning. It is a real shock and a real loss to the village."
Family Statement
Mr Muller's father Brian, 81, told the Daily Mail: "It's a peculiar situation, we are still waiting to hear what happened. I had a phone call from the police at 9am on Monday morning to say Neil had died but we've not been told anything else. We've not had a visit from the police or anything, so we just don't know. We only spoke on the phone last week, but sometimes we go a few months without hearing from him. He's a busy man with work."
Mr Muller was married and had two children. His death occurred the evening after an end-of-season awards ceremony at the Red Lion pub, though it is unclear if he attended. A staff member at the pub remarked: "It has come as a massive shock and we really don't want to say anything. It is too early."
