East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Delivers Major Fundraising Success for Local Hospice

In a remarkable display of community spirit, the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce has concluded a highly successful year of fundraising, generating a substantial £9,148 for the East Cheshire Hospice. This significant sum will directly benefit patients facing life-limiting illnesses, providing crucial support for their care and wellbeing.

A Diverse Array of Fundraising Events

The impressive total was accumulated through a series of well-attended and creatively organized events throughout the year. Chamber members participated enthusiastically in a variety of activities designed to foster camaraderie while raising funds. The calendar featured a dedicated golf day, a popular cake and coffee afternoon, an engaging clay pigeon shoot, a festive Christmas lunch, and the prestigious Annual Business Awards ceremony held at the De Vere Cranage Estate.

The awards evening proved particularly fruitful, incorporating both a raffle and a live auction that spurred generous contributions from the local business community in attendance.

Leadership Praise and Community Impact

Jackie Randles, the Chief Executive of the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, expressed immense pride in the collaborative effort. "It has been an absolute delight working alongside the Hospice over the last twelve months," she stated. "We are extremely proud to have raised this money for such a profoundly deserving cause that touches so many lives in our community."

Luke Oldham, the Corporate Fundraiser at East Cheshire Hospice, detailed the tangible impact this donation will have. "This incredibly generous donation will help fund care for almost an entire day," he explained. "That comprehensive support covers our inpatient care services, the Sunflower Living Well Centre, and our vital Hospice @Home program. That represents a substantial amount of care—and people helped—within a single 24-hour period."

He further emphasized the indispensable role of local businesses. "Local enterprises play a vital role in sustaining the high-quality care we provide. We are incredibly proud and grateful to have the backing of such a committed and caring local business community. A heartfelt thank you is owed to the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce for their incredible support. Their fundraising is a remarkable achievement, and we are so grateful for the effort, generosity, and community spirit that made it all possible."

A New Chapter in Charitable Support

This fundraising initiative marked the first occasion that East Cheshire Hospice was selected as the Chamber's chosen charity of the year, setting a strong precedent for future partnerships. Looking ahead, the Chamber has announced that its charitable focus for the next twelve months will shift to supporting the North West Air Ambulance service, continuing its tradition of impactful community engagement.

The success of this campaign underscores the powerful synergy between local commerce and charitable organizations, demonstrating how collective action can deliver meaningful support for essential health services within the region.
