Over The Wall Camp's 2025 Golf Day Aims to Raise Funds for Children with Health Conditions
UK children's charity Over The Wall Camp is urging businesses to tee off for a fantastic cause at its upcoming annual Golf Day. This event is designed to generate crucial funds, allowing children living with serious health conditions to experience the joy, laughter, and fun of childhood.
Event Details and Activities
Scheduled for Friday, June 5, the Golf Day will be held at the picturesque Breadsall Priory Golf and Country Club. Participants can look forward to a full day of activities, including 18 holes of golf on the Championship Priory Course. The day begins with breakfast upon arrival and concludes with a two-course lunch. Attendees will also have opportunities to win exciting prizes and learn about the charity's impactful work directly from its representatives.
Sponsorship and Business Involvement
Businesses interested in showcasing their brand can take advantage of tailored event sponsorship packages. By partnering with Over The Wall Camp, sponsors not only gain valuable exposure but also help ensure that a larger portion of the funds raised goes directly to supporting children and young people. This collaboration enhances corporate social responsibility while making a tangible difference.
Impact of the Funds Raised
The proceeds from the Golf Day enable Over The Wall Camp to provide free residential camps for children who are currently receiving treatment for or living with serious health challenges. These conditions include:
- Cancer
- Skin conditions
- Severe allergies
- Heart conditions
- Organ transplant
These camps offer a much-needed respite and a chance for these children to enjoy typical childhood experiences in a supportive environment.
Participation Options and Past Success
Teams of four can register online for £400, while lunch-only options are available at £35 per person. Last year's event successfully raised over £9,000 for the charity, demonstrating strong community support. Chris Worthy, an estimator from Bailey Construction, participated in the previous event and described it as a "thoroughly enjoyable day." He shared, "We were delighted to support Over The Wall Camp with their first regional Golf Day last year by entering a team and sponsoring a hole. We really enjoyed the whole day, especially hearing from the charity about their ambitious plans for their new home in Derby, having the opportunity to network and meet other companies from across the region, as well as supporting the event to raise much-needed funds for children and young people with health challenges. We look forward to supporting the event again in June."
