Clan Cancer Support Launches Summer Skydive Fundraising Challenge
Clan Cancer Support is calling on adventure enthusiasts and brave individuals to participate in an exhilarating skydive fundraising event this summer. The charity is seeking thrill-seekers to take a leap of faith in support of its essential cancer support services.
Event Details and Location
The skydive challenge is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, and will take place at Skydive St Andrews. Participants will experience a tandem jump from an altitude of 10,000 feet, offering stunning aerial views of the picturesque landscapes of Perthshire and the Kingdom of Fife.
During the jump, skydivers will enjoy 30 seconds of free-fall, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour. After this thrilling descent, the parachute will be deployed for a breathtaking and safe landing back to the ground.
Professional Support and Safety
All participants will be paired with a fully qualified instructor who will provide guidance and support throughout the entire experience. This ensures a safe and memorable adventure for everyone involved.
Ross Sangster, Clan’s community liaison officer, commented: “Our skydive challenge is an incredible opportunity and a unique way to raise money for Clan’s vital cancer support services. Whilst it is not for the faint hearted, participants will have professional support throughout the experience making it the perfect opportunity to tick something off their bucket list with complete confidence.”
Registration and Fundraising Requirements
Registration for Clan’s Skydive is now open. Participants are required to raise a minimum of £500 one month prior to the jump. Alternatively, individuals can pay Clan £280 to cover the cost of the skydive and set their own fundraising goal.
For those unable to attend on August 23, there is flexibility to complete the jump on another suitable date. This option ensures that more people can participate in this unique fundraising effort.
Supporting Cancer Services
This skydive challenge represents a significant fundraising initiative for Clan Cancer Support, helping to fund their crucial services for individuals and families affected by cancer. By taking part, participants contribute directly to these vital community resources.
The event promises to be an unforgettable experience, combining adventure with charitable giving in support of an important cause.
