Crowdfunder Hits £50k for Mum Killed in Spain

A crowdfunding campaign established to support the three children of a mother who was tragically killed in Spain has garnered nearly £50,000 in donations, demonstrating an outpouring of community solidarity.

Tributes to a Life Cut Short

Victoria Hart, a 33-year-old self-employed hairdresser and beautician originally from Solihull, died on January 24 in Alhaurín el Grande, near Malaga. Her death, described by friends as an act of 'unimaginable violence', has left her family and community in profound grief.

Her funeral was live-streamed on January 28, allowing many to pay their respects to the much-loved mother. A former partner has since appeared in court in connection with her death.

Fundraiser Provides Crucial Support

The GoFundMe page, set up to alleviate the immediate financial burden on Victoria's family, has raised an astonishing sum in a very short period. In just four days, donations surpassed £44,000, with the total now approaching the £50,000 mark.

Maxine Hill, a close friend who organised the fundraiser, posted a heartfelt message explaining the urgent need. "Our beautiful friend Victoria was taken from us far too soon," she wrote. "Her life was stolen in an act of unimaginable violence, leaving behind three innocent children who have lost both their mum and their dad in one moment."

Focus on the Children's Future

The campaign explicitly aims to secure stability for Victoria's three children during this traumatic period. The funds are intended to cover essential daily needs while the family awaits official support systems.

The immediate costs include:

  • Food and clothing
  • Utility bills
  • Day-to-day care expenses

Hill emphasised Victoria's devotion, stating, "Victoria lived for her children. She fought for them with everything she had, and they were her whole world. Now those children are facing a future without her love, protection and care."

The community's response, through donations both large and small, is seen as a direct act of support for the children's wellbeing in the face of an unbearable loss.
