SWFT Charity, the official charity of South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, is calling on the local community to participate in an exciting new cycling initiative called Cycle for SWFT. This event, scheduled for Thursday, May 21, 2026, will run for 12 hours from 8am to 8pm, commemorating a significant milestone as the charity celebrates 30 years of dedicated support to NHS services across South Warwickshire.
Event Details and Goals
The charity aims for this challenge to not only honor past achievements but also to raise funds for future improvements to local hospitals and community NHS services for the next three decades and beyond. Participants are encouraged to book a 30-minute slot to cycle on a static bike at one of SWFT's hospital locations or selected local gym venues, while raising £30 for SWFT Charity to mark their efforts.

Static bikes will be available at three key hospital sites:
- Warwick Hospital
- Leamington Spa Hospital
- Stratford-upon-Avon Hospital
Additionally, the event extends to various gym venues across the area, including:
- Everyone Active Gyms across South Warwickshire
- Nuffield Health Warwick
- Apollo Gym in Coventry
- And more locations to be confirmed
Inclusivity and Rewards
Open to individuals of all abilities aged 18 and above, whether seasoned cyclists or complete beginners, this challenge is designed to be inclusive and accessible. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers at the end of the event. All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a certificate upon completion of their 30-minute cycle.
