Evans Halshaw Ford dealerships across five UK locations have successfully concluded a major charitable initiative, raising a significant sum for local causes. During October and November, the dealerships in Cardiff, Chester, Darlington, Hull, and Preston united for the second wave of Ford's national Drive 4 UR Community campaign.
Substantial Funds Raised for Local Causes
This community-focused effort generated an impressive £11,820 for four dedicated local charities. The campaign's mechanics were simple yet effective: for every test drive completed in the latest Ford models, Ford donated £30 to the charity chosen by each individual dealership. This latest push brings the total amount raised by Evans Halshaw Ford through this initiative in 2025 to £19,350 across eight of their dealerships, demonstrating a sustained commitment to community support.
Dealership Impact Across the UK
Each dealership partnered with a cause close to their local community's heart, with the test drive events yielding remarkable results.
In Cardiff, fifty test drives helped raise £1,500 for the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital Charity. This funding aids vital medical equipment, facility improvements, and essential support services for families.
The Chester event saw 28 test drives completed, generating £840 for The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, which provides specialist palliative care across Cheshire, South Wirral, and North Wales.
At the Hull dealership, an incredible 126 test drives were undertaken, raising £3,780 for Chasing Rainbows Charity. This organisation offers crucial support to individuals and families affected by pregnancy and baby loss.
Meanwhile, Evans Halshaw Ford Darlington partnered with The Lions Club Darlington. Fifty-nine test drives contributed £1,770 to this organisation, which in turn supports a wide array of local charities, community groups, and sports clubs.
Finally, Evans Halshaw Ford Preston supported Cash for Kids Charity. A massive 131 test drives were completed during their event, raising a total of £3,930 to help disadvantaged children across the UK, tackling issues of poverty, illness, and neglect.
Leadership Celebrates Community Impact
Adam Fletcher, group vice president of Evans Halshaw Ford, expressed his delight at the outcome. He stated, "We are delighted that our fundraising total through Ford’s Drive 4 UR Community initiative for 2025 now stands at over £19,350. Each of the eight charities that we have supported are meaningful, local causes that will benefit greatly from the money raised." He extended his gratitude, adding, "Thank you to our teams across the country who have led the way and made a positive impact in their communities."
The success of these events highlights how corporate-community partnerships can create substantial, tangible benefits for local charities, turning customer engagement into vital financial support.
