Daredevils Raise £1,200 for Charity with 100ft Anfield Abseil
Fundraisers abseil 100ft at Anfield for cerebral palsy charity

Daring Descent for a Vital Cause

In a breathtaking display of courage, five intrepid fundraisers recently scaled new heights—or rather, depths—for charity by abseiling a staggering 100 feet down the side of the iconic Main Stand at Anfield football stadium. The team took on the vertigo-inducing challenge to generate crucial funds for Stick ‘n’ Step, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people with cerebral palsy.

Meet the Fundraising Heroes

The daring team was comprised of Dylan Hughes, Gina Davies, Theresa Brock, Lucy Jones, and Alison James. Alison, who works at Regal Wholesale, also serves as one of Stick ‘n’ Step’s trustees, bringing a deeply personal commitment to the cause. Their collective bravery paid off handsomely, with the event successfully raising more than £1,200 to support the charity's free services.

The spirit of giving at Regal Wholesale doesn't stop there. Alison's colleague, Aaron Price, recently faced his own fears by taking part in a fundraising shark dive at the Blue Planet Aquarium. Furthermore, the company is demonstrating an incredible commitment, with four more of its team members signed up for a sponsored sky dive scheduled for Saturday, March 28, next year.

How You Can Get Involved

For those inspired by these feats, there is a unique opportunity to take part. Five places remain available for the upcoming charity sky dive. Anyone interested in challenging themselves and raising money for this excellent cause is encouraged to contact Stick ‘n’ Step directly at fundraising@sticknstep.org.

The funds raised are more than just numbers; they are a lifeline. Stick ‘n’ Step provides free weekly conductive education sessions to children and young people with cerebral palsy up to the age of 25. Operating from centres in Wallasey and Runcorn, the charity supports over 100 families each year. To continue this essential work, it must raise an impressive £750,000 annually, relying entirely on the generosity of its supporters and volunteers.
