Nightingale House Hospice Celebrates Festive Fundraising Success

Nightingale House Hospice is celebrating the outstanding achievement of its festive Rudolph Run campaign, which has raised an impressive total of more than £17,000. This significant sum will directly support patients and their families throughout the local community, providing essential care and assistance during challenging times.

Overwhelming Community Response

The campaign garnered an incredible response from a wide array of educational institutions and local businesses. Children, staff, and supporters enthusiastically participated by wearing antlers and engaging in various activities to raise vital funds for hospice care. The collective effort demonstrated a strong community spirit and commitment to a worthy cause.

Notably, Ysgol Sant Dunawd's Rudolph Run alone raised £399 for Nightingale House Hospice, showcasing the dedication of individual participants.

Heartwarming Support and Impact

Sarah Povey, corporate and donor relationships manager at Nightingale House Hospice, expressed her gratitude: “We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support shown through our Rudolph Run campaign, which was kindly sponsored by Excell Supply. Seeing so many schools, nurseries and organisations come together to support the hospice has been incredibly heartwarming.”

She added: “The money raised will make a real difference, helping us continue to provide specialist care and support to patients and their families when they need us most. We cannot thank everyone involved enough for their generosity and enthusiasm.”

The funds generated through the Rudolph Run will enable Nightingale House Hospice to sustain its delivery of crucial care and support. This includes assisting individuals living with life-limiting and progressive conditions, as well as providing aid to their loved ones. The hospice serves a broad area encompassing Wrexham, Flintshire, East Denbighshire, Barmouth, and border towns such as Oswestry and Whitchurch.
