Matthew Perry's PA Sentenced: Family's Heartbreaking Statements
Matthew Perry's PA Sentenced to 41 Months in Prison

Matthew Perry's personal assistant has been sentenced to 41 months in prison for his role in the actor's death. Kenneth Iwamasa, 60, injected the Friends star with ketamine and worked with two doctors to provide over $50,000 (approximately £38,000) worth of the drug in the weeks leading up to Perry's death in October 2023.

Iwamasa, who had no medical training, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute ketamine. Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett handed down the sentence in federal court, which also includes two years of probation and a $10,000 (about £7,400) fine.

Family's Devastating Statements

Perry's mother, Suzanne Morrison, wrote a powerful statement: "Matthew trusted Kenny. We trusted Kenny. Kenny's most important job - by far - was to be my son's companion and guardian in his fight against addiction. We trusted a man without a conscience, and my son paid the price."

The actor's sister, Madeline Morrison, revealed that Iwamasa spoke at Perry's funeral. She said: "The person responsible for my brother's death stood up and addressed the people who loved him most. He tainted our final memories of saying goodbye."

Cover-Up Attempts

Prosecutors stated that after Perry's death, Iwamasa "continued his wrongdoing by destroying evidence and taking other steps to cover his tracks and obstruct justice." He pleaded guilty in August 2024 to one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine causing death, which carried a maximum penalty of 15 years in federal prison. In addition to the prison term, he was sentenced to two years of supervised release and ordered to pay a $10,000 fine.
