Mayor of Charnwood Hosts Charity Dinner to Support Local Charities

The Mayor of Charnwood, Councillor David Northage, is set to host a charity fundraising dinner this month, with proceeds benefiting two vital local charities. The event will take place in the Victoria Room at Loughborough Town Hall on Friday, 20 March, starting at 7pm.

Charities Supported by the Mayor

Councillor David Northage has selected Rainbows and The Carpenter's Arms as his chosen charities for his Mayoral year. Rainbows provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for babies, children, and young people across the East Midlands. The Carpenter's Arms is a Leicestershire-based charity that supports men facing challenges with addiction, offering crucial assistance to those in need.

Event Details and Entertainment

Guests are invited to join the Mayor and Mayoress, Jenny Northage, for an evening of fine dining, entertainment, and charitable giving. The event will feature live music from Rupert Simms and Derek Hunter, along with a performance by local singer Charlotte Emily Beaver. A raffle and auction will also be held to raise additional funds.

The evening will be hosted by compère Lez Cope-Newman, chair of the Loughborough BID. Guests will enjoy a menu crafted by head chef Michael Paparrozi, inspired by his Italian heritage, ensuring a delightful culinary experience.
