Queenscourt Hospice Launches Annual Make a Will Month for Charity Support

Queenscourt Hospice is proud to announce the return of its annual Make a Will Month, a key fundraising initiative that helps sustain the charity's vital services. Appointments for this April are now available for booking, and early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.

Will-Writing Services with Donation Options

During Make a Will Month, participating local solicitors are supporting Queenscourt Hospice by professionally drafting wills in exchange for suggested donations. The donation rates are set at £200 for a basic Single Will and £300 for basic Mirror Wills, which are designed for spouses or partners.

For more complex wills that require additional time and expertise, solicitors will inform clients of any extra charges beyond the donation amount.

Importance of Making a Will

Andrea Parkes, individual giving and legacy fundraiser at Queenscourt, emphasized the significance of this event. "Make a Will Month is a fantastic opportunity to put plans in place for the future whilst also supporting Queenscourt Hospice at the same time," she said.

Parkes added, "Making a will at any age and any stage of your life is important as it records your wishes for what you would like to happen to your home and belongings after you’re gone." She expressed gratitude to all participating solicitors for their time and expertise in supporting the hospice.

Legacy Gifts and Long-Term Impact

Participants may consider including a gift in their will to Queenscourt Hospice after ensuring their loved ones are provided for. Such gifts are among the most impactful ways to support causes close to one's heart.

For over 35 years, gifts in wills have enabled Queenscourt to deliver exceptional palliative care to local individuals facing life-limiting illnesses. These contributions help ensure compassionate care continues for current and future generations.

It is important to note that including a gift to Queenscourt in your will is not required to participate in Make a Will Month.
