Three wonderful cats, each brimming with affection, are waiting for their forever homes as the RSPCA grapples with a severe capacity crisis. Brassy Brenda, Serena, and Darcy are currently housed at the RSPCA Gonsal Farm Animal Centre in Dorrington, where they have been patiently waiting for a combined total of 116 days. The appeal comes as the trio has received little to no interest from potential adopters, while the animal welfare charity continues to face a rehoming crisis.
Brassy Brenda: A Confident Feline
Brassy Brenda, a four-year-old cat, has been searching for a home for 52 days. According to Alice Batchelor-Reynolds, Kennel and Cattery Supervisor, Brenda is a highly confident feline who decides when she wants attention, often at the most inconvenient times. She requires a patient, cat-savvy household that can respect her boundaries. Once she settles, she enjoys sunbathing in the garden, butterfly-hunting, and exuding main character energy. Brenda came from a home with over 50 cats, so she needs experienced owners, and children should be 14 or older.
Serena: A Gentle Soul
Serena, also four years old, has been waiting for 35 days after coming from a multi-animal home. Initially overwhelmed by the cattery, she has blossomed into a gentle, chatty, and resilient cat. She slowly asks for affection and thrives in a quiet environment. Serena could live with another friendly cat and will enjoy garden access once settled.
Darcy: The Purr-suasive One
Darcy, a one-year-old cat, has been looking for a home for 29 days. She loves fuss and attention and is not afraid to use her voice to remind you of that. Darcy seeks a garden to patrol, ensuring the local community knows who is in charge. She is sweet, charmingly needy, and incredibly persuasive. Darcy could live with a neutered male cat and children of secondary school age, but no dogs.
The RSPCA is urging people to adopt rather than shop for pets and to neuter their cats to prevent unwanted breeding.
