Aberdeen quiz fans are invited to tackle a football-themed challenge as a popular fundraising event returns to the city. Clan Cancer Support is bringing back its large-scale quiz night this month, with space for more than 100 enthusiasts to test their general knowledge in a World Cup special.
Event Details
Following a successful debut earlier this year, the Clash of the Clans Quiz Night will be held at the Sandman Signature Hotel. The evening will be hosted by local social media influencer and quizmaster Duncan Dallas, better known as Aiberdeen Mannie. Participants can expect rounds dedicated to the goals, songs, and countries that make the tournament iconic. He will be joined by Clan board member Claire Stevenson, who will act as MC for the evening.
Fundraising Activities
In addition to the traditional pub quiz format, the event will feature fundraising games, stalls, and a raffle sponsored by Frasers of Ellon. All proceeds will help the charity provide emotional and physical support services for people of all ages impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Duncan Dallas, charity ambassador, said: "I used Clan’s services after my wife’s cancer diagnosis, so I know first-hand how important this charity is to people in Aberdeen and beyond. Luckily my wife has now fully recovered, and I like to show my thanks by doing whatever I can to support the charity. The next quiz in the Clash of the Clans series is shaping up to be a great event – there’s something for everyone to enjoy whether you’re a football fan or not! It’s the perfect opportunity to get your clan together for a brilliant night out whilst supporting a very important local charity."

Emma Panton, head of income generation at Clan, added: "We were delighted with the response to our first large-scale quiz night and it's fantastic to see the event return again with a World Cup theme – especially with Scotland gearing up for their first campaign in 28 years. Ahead of the tournament starting in June, we're looking forward to starting the party early, celebrating the occasion and sparking a bit of friendly competition."
The charity is also offering sponsorship opportunities starting from £250 for local organisations looking to support the night.
Practical Information
The Clash of the Clans Quiz Night takes place on Thursday, May 28. Doors open at 6pm at the Sandman Signature Hotel in Aberdeen. Tickets cost £10 per person and include a light bite, with recommended teams of up to six people.
