Solihull Women's Stride Squad (SWSS) is a female-only walking group that meets twice a week at Malvern & Brueton Park in Solihull. There are no membership forms or fees, and participants are welcome to simply turn up. The group offers a supportive environment where women can chat, walk in silence, or enjoy the peace and fresh air.
Founded by friends Keeley Skelding and Vicky Evans in May 2025, the group was initially shared on social media. To their surprise, 100 women attended the first walk. Now, 12 months later, over 3,000 women take part. The group has witnessed significant breakthroughs, including women who struggled to leave their homes, those dealing with grief and loneliness, teenagers seeking support, elderly women on scooters, and others just enjoying exercise and companionship.
Meeting Times and Locations
The group meets at 6:45 PM on Wednesday evenings and at 9:45 AM on Friday mornings at the main gates of Malvern & Brueton Park in Solihull.
First Birthday Celebration: One Big Walk
